Descriptive Essay
The sun slowly rose, casting its warm
golden rays on anything and everything it could reach. Kerry smiled and giggled
to herself as she let her four year old feet swing back and forth under the
porch. She closed her eyes and could almost feel like she was floating. She
gave a small sigh and stood up, distracted by the smell of griddle cakes coming
from the open kitchen door. She laughed again and chased the cat inside, who
had just gotten back from its nightly prowl. Momma was looking worried again.
Kerry could always tell. She new what would make her smile. She ran up to her
and pulled on her worn flower print apron, getting her attention. She motioned
for Momma to bend down. She wrapped her small hands around her neck and gave
her a big fat kiss on the cheek before whispering,
“I love you more than apricot jam!” Her
Momma gave a weak smile and hugged her back.
“I love you too!”
Kerry frowned,
wrinkling her smooth baby face. Momma usually responded with a favorite food.
Maybe something really serious was wrong. She unhinged her tight grasp around
her mother’s neck and ran back outside to the barn looking for her big brother.
Sam would know what to do. He always knew what to do.
I told you it was short! Well I decided to post it because this blog is probably just a lame excuse to write. I know, I know. Writing? That thing that I'm forced to do at school/work? Yes my friends, I Caroline Thuet am writing on my own free will. (You: What did I get myself into?!) Well before you start pointing fingers at your other family members/friends who pointed you in turn to this blog, at least give this a chance. I mean I'm not THAT bad of a writer..right? Right. Hope you are entertained! :)

ReplyDeleteP.S. Safest way to always post something cool = put something Albus says at the end.
